The day started out a lot better. The sun is out and it is a little windy and chilly, but not at all bad. First thing we found that the battery was dead on our rental car, I think I left the lights on last night. No problem, we called the AAA and walked next door to Bob Evans Restaurant to have breakfast. We had just finished when the triple A driver arrived. We then went to look for Dad's grave. We found that with no problem (a lot of luck). While there we came across John Strode's grave. He was my mother's adopted father. I never knew he was buried in the same cemetery. After finding the grave  we checked out the Perry Manor Apartments, Dad's last address in Pittsburgh. We then  went to Duquesne to check out my Grandparents house (Chalfa). I think we found it, 132 So. 5th and it looked really good. Since the last time we were there it was an abandoned crack house, I am going to check the address. If it is the same house, apparently some one bought it and fixed it up, which would have been a tremendous job. We then went to the Cemetery at Duquesne to see if we could find the family graves there. We accomplished that with no problem and have recorded the spots in the event some future Chalfa wants to know.

We then went downtown to check out the William Penn Hotel (where we spent our honeymoon), the Koppers Building (where my mother and dad met) and the surrounding area. We had a coffee in Starbucks in the William Penn and remembered Francesca, as we always do when we go to Starbucks.

After that we went to the hotel and changed and went to Rico's for dinner. This was the most anticipated part of our trip and we were not let down. Gloria had Salmon and I had Mahi Mahi with lump crab meat. It was delicious. There was a long wait due to a partial power outage that had not been fixed from the storm the day before. David Rico gave us our deserts no charge to make up for the wait. We did not really need deserts but we could not insult him. O well, a few more calories.

All in all we had a great day. Here are some pictures for you to look at:
